BEST FIRST SEMESTER MOMENTS #SemenderSpecial | BLOG #003

Welcome to another blog. So basically I did this for #SemenderSpecial just to flashback some of the top moments or should I say "tough moments" that we've been through for the whole first semester. So I give you my 10 favorite moments and share how can this be my favorite moments or what are the thing that I've learned to each moments

10. RADIO BROADCASTING (FILIPINO)
Credits to: Merry Herrera

"Time check It's 8:13 since I'm doing this blog and this time check is brought you by RiteMed, at nakikinig pa rin kayo ng Paliparan FM, This has been your DJ for today." Those stuffs are few lines from our Radio Broadcasting. How come this is one of my favorites? I always watched some Myx Shows everytime I wanna listen to my favorite songs rather than listening radio streaming. As I observe na kung paano magdeliver ang mga VJs is exactly how the Radio DJ delivered it lines. You need to put some convos, you have to be more creative in creating scripts, know your target audiences and most importantly to be mindful of what you about to say so I admit this was a big pressure for us and honestly, we didn't winged it because of lots of dead airs but what really matters is the experience.

9. PALARONG PINOY

I consider this as one of the great event in MCU, Palarong Pinoy open for all SHS students. It's always been a good time when you're actually playing games you did before since kid. Fun thing, even our teachers do participate in this activity such as Sack Race, Tug of War and Dodge Ball. At this moment, it's also my first time to cover an event as we are tasked to write articles in our club. I didn't join any games but we love supporting my classmates who participated like this meme I made.

8. Indie Film (should be one of Cine-SHS)

" Good cinematography and acting skills". One of the exciting things that we rocked. Honestly, if we could just join our entry at the last MCU Sine-SHS, we should have won HAHAHA charot but we might brag some awards if we're oriented to do so. The Indie Film is common for all of you as it tells about the issues like drugs and cyberbullying but I find it interesting to watch so if maa-upload ko siya sa YT channel ko pero I have the teaser up here na medyo bitin. Let's go on.

7. ZUMBA CULMINATING ACTIVITY

"Come on guys, keep cheering para may project na tayo". My role here is a supportive classmate unlike sa mga ibang activities. Actually we're lucky na moral support lang coz the dancers have to dance for a long length of time and it was tiring and steps are intensive but seeing my classmates making hataw encourage me na may laban kami at this point then we won 3rd place, it's not bad because never sa history namin ang manalo so it's a great breakthrough for our section now.

6. JOB INTERVIEW (PDE)

"Interviewee: Why should I hire you?"
 "Me: Uhmmm my family....."

It's a good practice pero you can't take away the nervousness to answer those bunch of questions. Also the effort of wearing a good semi-formal attire and proper grooming to look presentable and attractive HAHAHA somehow. I can't say na I winged the interview coz I didn't construct my words well so I might tell something na hindi clear sa employer. Interview like this require: confidence, passion, presentable and professionalism. Once you have all of these, I make sure na you will stand out and matatanggap ka sa papasukan mong job. Let's proceed to our TOP 5.

5. NUTRITION MONTH

"GO, GROW, GLOW", It's one of mah memorable experience since it's our first time to join any curricular activities. We compete at many activities like Salad-Making, Jingle-Making and Infomercial. First time din namin magpractice in night and sa caloocan pa so some of the parents ask our adviser what's going on .Since first time pa lang mapalaban, failure is always a part of the game, you'll just have to stop embracing it and just try and try again. One of our weakness in Jingle is our soft voices and to memorize the song. Our entry for infomercial is corrupted and we didn't also win at Salad-making. It's a good thing you know coz every mistakes is a lesson and should never be done again.

4. BOODLE FIGHT

A unique way of greeting our adviser (Sir Adrian) for HTD. This is LIT! Aside from having a mouthful day, we got to bond as whole section as we prepared for the foods. Our president planned the whole thing and thank him for that. I love eating with my bare hands pero what we did is we used gloves just to be eat safe HAHAHA. Sir Adrian appreciates what we did for him and also we sang him a very common song titled "Salamat". I did enjoy naman (I have nothing to say).

3. Investigatory Project/ Defense (Science)

Since there's no photo to share, I got something to share with you guys. minsan lang ako naging proud sa sarili ko for a long time pero seryoso I didn't got the high grades compare to what I have expected and there's so many discouragements na pumasok sa akin na I can't be the person who I used to be dati. But in our second quarter, I finally break the mindset na I should drain myself to keep doing things without knowing I will fail, but I tried to be the person that is fire-proof like a person who disregard the challenges and never letting failures to keep me down. At this IP research, wala na kaming time pero what I did I disregard my groupmates of how they show na wala silang pake and I stand to lead my group and keep them pushing to work hard coz I trust them and I shouldn't have let them down instead help them so that we can work this out together. The fruit of this project is worth it and the panel like our product and see it as interesting. I'm proud to myself and to my resiliency.

2. Cultural Dance

Spending every afternoon for the practice is no joke. We always went home tired and hungry and also the pressure of academics came in. We also get to invest financially and physically for this, for the better props, costume, performance. As far as I can see, no one ever break the palayok so we did a good job in our performances. Things may come impossible but if we are eager to do it, we can possibly reach what we want. No regrets na di kami nanalo coz I already know that since start but the job of showing a great performance is what matters to me and di naman kami nagmukhang talunan overall.

Wait, did I just missed something, nope, I bet that is our number one spot. Can you guess it?!

1. BUWAN NG WIKA

Celebration of Buwan of Wika is my favorite. Every student is wearing their Filipino kasuotan. I also enjoy to perform at Sabayang Pagbigkas, me without experience in acting in a whole crowd but it somehow bends my comfort zone and try new things na we didn't do and embrace it. Sir Arden taught us that and what I really like is despite of being late for practice, we have a goal to show them that winning isn't our goal but to give the best of what we are. Pumasok kami ng maraming eskinita and went to kaloob-looban ng caloocan until we reached Malabon just to practice then pag-uwi, we walk back to Sangandaan which is malayo ng konti and it's a nice experience though.

GOING BACK TO MY TOP 3. The lesson for the whole thing is "Experience is the best teacher". Once we go to school, we look beyond just learning a certain topic and that's the experience that left a note in our hearts, reminding us of what you've been through and taught us the value of life. Learnings that push out our limits and learnings that urge you to do what you didn't try.
